Captain Matt Lusk is a husband, father, and waterman based on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In addition to guiding, he is also a professional wedding, family portrait, and freelance photographer and his work has been featured in magazines around the world. His love for the ocean brought him to the Outer Banks in 2006. Since then he's spent countless hours dialing in all the inshore and nearshore fisheries the Outer and Inner Banks has to offer. His favorite species to target are cobia, citation red drum, and speckled trout on both spinning and fly tackle. He's won biggest ''slam'' and speckled trout in multiple tournaments, including Manteo Rotary Inshore Slam and Kitty Hawk Surf Co Kayak Tournament. Some of his most memorable catches are a 100+lb tarpon from kayak, 50lb citation cobia on fly, 575lb bluefin tuna, and 10lb speckled trout. He has a tireless work ethic and is fully committed to putting clients on fish.
